Taunton’s National Night Out (NNO) will be held on Tuesday August 5th 2014, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at City Parking Lot – Court St. The mission of this event is not only provide crime prevention awareness but also to give the community the opportunity to meet our police, fire, organizations, and business owners on a more personal level. This is a wonderful opportunity for your organization to showcase our products and/or services with the Taunton community. Last year was the 2nd year Taunton participated and more than 300 people turned to to this event. Sponsors: Business and organizations will have an opportunity to be a sponsor of the event by donating money, goods, or services. Being a sponsor offer extra exposure and promotion of your business/organization as all marketing material will have your logo and/or business/organizations name added as a sponsor. Food Vendors We are looking for food vendors who will offer free samples for up to 300 attendees. You will be provided a table for this event, however if you need electricity access you will have to let us know. We encourage vendors to hand out coupons and menus promoting their business during this event. Vendors: Local business and organizations are encouraged to come out and promote their services. Each vendor will received table for space to promote their products or services. This is a great exposure for your business/organization and gives you a chance to hand out materials about your business or organization. Additional Information: *There will be no rain date scheduled. National Night Out (NNO), is America’s Night Out Against Crime, a unique crime/drug prevention event sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW) for the past 31 years. NNO promotes police-community partnerships, crime prevention and neighborhood camaraderie. National Night Out is the largest, annual crime prevention event in the country. It involves over 37.8 million people and 16,124 communities from all fifty states, U.S. Territories, Canadian cities, and military bases worldwide. National Night out is a community building campaign, which is designed to: • Heighten crime prevention awareness • Generates support for and participation in, local anticrime programs • Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships • Send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back. In 2013, Taunton participated in National Night Out for the second time and had over 300 people attend this free safety/educational event.
