DAKOTA WRESTLING CLUB
Mission Statement
Dakota Wrestling Mission Statement: The purpose of our organization is to introduce kids to the sport of wrestling at the younger level (K-4th grade); prepare the 5th-8th graders for High School wrestling; and continue that support all the way through their high school wrestling career and prepare them for a future in college, if they so choose. We not only instruct them in the aspect of the sport, but along the way try to instill integrity, honesty, character, teamwork & how to win and lose with grace. Since all schools struggle with budget constraints, our K-8 program is fully funded by fundraisers and donations; while we have also invested much into the high school program ($25,000 towards new wrestling mats). Dakota Wrestling has experienced much success throughout the years. From a small school of approximately 280 students, we have produced 41 individual Class 1A state championships, along with 5 State Team titles.
