Mission Statement

STARS’ mission is to transform the lives of individuals with cognitive and developmental disabilities by providing meaningful opportunities that foster independence, connection, and dignity. Since 1973, STARS has served the Scottsdale area and surrounding communities through both on-site and community-based programs that help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) build independence, confidence, and self-sufficiency. STARS provides employment services as well as a variety of enrichment opportunities—arts, fitness, life skills, and community outings—all offered at no cost to participants for their personal growth and well-being.
