Mission Statement
The Bettie Jane Cancer Foundation’s mission will be to provide services such as assisting with medicine and medical care, retail pharmacy grant’s (to cover co-pays and drugs), gas cards, utilities and cosmetic accessories (wigs, mastectomy bras or prosthesis) for any Cancer patient that is a US Citizen residing in Frederick County or Washington County Maryland, regardless of Oncology provider. Patients must provide documentation of need (including income and billing statements) to substantiate financial hardship due to their cancer diagnosis. Patients who meet these requirements will be eligible to receive assistance regardless of race, sex, religion or any other potentially discriminating factor. The board will meet to determine the amount of assistance to be paid for each eligible candidate based on the information provided.
