Mission Statement
Hogs for the Cause was established in 2008 with the purpose of gathering some friends, roasting a whole hogs, and support a child facing pediatric brain cancer. Now going into its 9th year, Hogs has grown into a 3 day event with a gala kick off on Thursday night which leads into the two day BBQ Competition and Music Event which hosts over 30,000 attendees. Teams sell their BBQ and along with food sales and sponsor dollars, Hogs is able to issue grants to help families fighting pediatric brain cancer. As of May 15, 2016, Hogs has given out over $1M in direct family grands and charitable giving since its inception.
