Our mission is to advance knowledge for agriculture, the environment, human health and well-being, and communities by creating opportunities for youth. We seek to promote positive youth development, facilitate learning, and engage youth in the work ofthe Land-Grant Universities and USDA to enhance their quality of lifeThe educational foundation for our programs lies in:???????????? Science, Engineering and Technology tied to agricultural andenvironmental issues???????????? Healthy Lifestyles tied to human health and well-being???????????? Citizenship tied to the activities of people with institutions andgovernment for the common good.Our youth are expected to:???????????? participate in learning communities???????????? determine goals for their own hands-on learning???????????? engage in significant leadership???????????? perform community serviceLife skills are emphasized within the context of meaningful hands-onexperiences which require some form of exhibition at their completion.Older youth members are expected to serve in leadership roles shaping theprogram for younger members.
