PITCH IN
Mission Statement
Despite the curveballs that life circumstances may throw, everyone deserves a chance to reach their full potential, regardless of resources or geography. The Wood Family Foundation facilitates relationships between school partners and families that provide support and opportunities to empower youth to succeed in middle school, high school, and beyond. Specifically, the Wood Family Foundation’s premiere program, Pitch In, deeply engages with our partner schools to improve the culture of the middle grades by adding capacity that aligns to the principal’s vision, providing access to an abundance of resources, and focusing on not only our students, but also their families. Pitch In’s after-school program employs high-quality mentoring relationships and exposure to unique experiences to ensure our students develop the mindsets necessary to transition to high school successfully.
