CORE FOUNDATION INC
Mission Statement
The CORE Foundation, Inc. was founded in 2011 to address the highly complex and ongoing needs of the paralysis community in Central Florida. Paralysis diagnoses are often a result of lifetime neurological conditions that require continuous oversight and intervention to prevent costly hospital readmissions, secondary medical conditions, and a reduced quality of life. Activity Based Training is a research-based, highly effective form of long-term intervention for paralysis survivors that has demonstrated improved clinical, physical, and mental health outcomes. Even with this evidence, this style of therapy is not covered by traditional health insurance plans, making access to these critically needed services financially impossible for many. Since 2011, the CORE Foundation has developed its’ core initiative, the “Recovery Support Program,” to offset the cost for Floridians to continue their recovery.
