THE WALLS PROJECT
Mission Statement
The Walls Project’s mission is to enlight, ignite and unite communities to break through the walls of poverty. Through public art, workforce training, and blight remediation, we are able to conquer the drivers of poverty while building culture and inclusion. For eight years, The Walls Project has provided different-but-integrated programs and events, contributing an estimated $2M in economic growth to the region’s creative sector. The Walls leads programs, events, and alliances that break through and tear down the societal walls that discourage or prevent people from living safe, healthy, and prosperous lives, improving the physical, social, and economic conditions of individuals and ultimately and collectively the overall safety, health, well-being, and economic conditions of the larger community.
