Midsommer Flight is a Chicago theatre company dedicated to producing high quality, accessible performances of Shakespeare’s plays. Our goal is to share our passion for Shakespeare and theatre with our community. Shakespeare is cool. The plays are beautiful and exciting, full of love, lust, sorrow, revenge, magic and joy. Midsommer Flight is committed to the financial accessibility of all its work. The summer production is 100% free to the public, while the indoor TWELFTH NIGHT is shifting to a Pay-What-You-Can model, allowing audiences to attend for free when needed. Midsommer Flight has seen the power of eliminating any financial barrier, reaching a large audience that is racially, ethnically, socioeconomically, and generationally diverse.
