Mission Statement

It’s a phone call nobody ever wants to receive regarding their own child. On October 2, 2014 Bob and Gina received a phone call that changed their lives forever. Their beautiful baby girl, Laiken Ann Marie Skeltis, 3 months old passed away. Why her? She was as healthy as can be and had a smile that would brighten up a room and she even started to belly laugh. It took a few long months to get the medical examiner report back and the cause of death was SUIDS. What is SUIDS exactly? Sudden Unexpected Infant Death Syndrome. We all may have heard of it at one time or another. But did you know that it is the number one cause of death for babies between the ages of 1 month to a year old? It’s a syndrome that has no answer and can devastate a family for the rest of their lives. Knowing how Bob and Gina are they want to try and make a negative into a positive. They want to make more people aware of such a horrible syndrome and develop more research into why SUIDS happens. With this fundraiser all the proceeds will go to a charity or awareness group of their choice. With time, they may even begin their own awareness group and help others going through the same situation as them. In order to reach this goal, we are asking for your support in the form of a monetary donation. We are hosting a memorial golf fundraiser this year on September 19th, 2015 at Hickory Hollow. At this event we will have golf related games, 50/50, and multiple auctions in efforts to raise money to put towards our goal. The auctions are where we need your support. We are frequent customers, and would appreciate any contribution you would be able to provide. In exchange for your generous gift, we will place your business name on our brochure. Your generosity will definitely not go unnoticed. Unfortunately, every year more than 4,500 babies die suddenly and unexpectedly. That is 8 babies a day across the United States. Now is the time to take action to help find an answer to SUIDS. The more funds that we raise, the sooner we can find the cause of this horrific syndrome. Bob and Gina will donate the funds to the charity of their choice or start one of their own. For tax purposes our Employer Identification Number is 47-3856597. 501c3 non-profit tax-exempt status is in the process and once we receive it we can provide it at a later date.
