COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT FOR REAL PEOPLE INC

The Community Development for Real People mission is to influence the quality of life in Metro Atlanta for youth, women's empowerment, underprivileged families, and health and wellness through nutrition. The CD4RP Coronavirus Food drive began March 17, 2020 just before the pandemic and is now called the CD4RP Food Drive. Our CD4RP Food Drive is held every Tuesday at Community Development For Real People Community Assistance Center 1781 Hwy. 42N McDonough, Ga 30253. Our event starts at 10:00 a.m. and concludes at Noon. We serve approximately 50-60 families a week. We serve school age kids, women, seniors, the newly unemployed workers, and everyone in need. We operate in drive-thru mode while practicing enhanced sanitation procedures. Food donations are a critical need in order to continue our work of organizing the food drive event. It is in this respect that we ask for Microsoft donations to sustain our current level of 60 plus families each week and expand to meet the need of 100 plus families in need. CD4RP began operations in 2003 serving food at the Georgia Dome and Turner Field stadiums. We provided entry level food service job training and food service experience for underprivileged youth. The Georgia Dome and Turner Field supported CD4RP food programs impacting food insecurity. In 2010 CD4RP launched Adopt a Family Christmas in Henry County, providing toys & food to under privilege youth in the community. In 2016 we partnered with Red Oak United Methodist Church expanding Adopt a Family Christmas providing 2,000 plus toys and food. We then added our yearly school supplies giveaway in 2018 providing food and school supplies. We pledge that all Microsoft donations will be utilized to fight food insecurity and hunger in our community. Thank you in advance for your support in this battle against hunger.
