BIZLEADHERS CORP
Mission Statement
PlaNet Finance is an international charity organization headquartered in Paris whose mission is to fight poverty by helping impoverished people develop independent revenue-generating activities to sustainably improve their living conditions. Being created in 1998 in Paris PlaNet Finance is now active in 40 countries with 80 projects per year operating on 5 regional platforms: West & Central Africa & the Indian Ocean, Asia and Latin-America and the Caribbean. Our aim is to foster financial and socio-economic inclusion for impoverished people. Our projects often target vulnerable populations such as small farmers or women. Besides providing access to financial services that are sustainable, inclusive and adapted to community needs, we also strive to increase the capacities of communities and offer support in creation of revenue-generating activities, professional training and financial education. Identifying economic opportunities by selecting growth channels and sustainable production and sales models is often part of our agricultural value chain projects. We also aim at creating access to essential commodities such as health, nutrition, water or energy. Our projects follow the triple bottom line approach and seek to balance economic, social and environmental objectives. Innovation is therefore key and PlaNet Finance is engaging more and more and projects which include mobile phone technology or which foster insurance schemes, e.g. weather-based index insurance.
