Mission Statement

Established in 2001, Echo Park Film Center is a non-profit media arts organization providing underserved communities with equal, affordable access to film/video resources via five channels: a neighborhood microcinema, free media arts education programs, equipment rentals, an eco-friendly mobile cinema/film school, and artist residencies. We feel it is imperative that more members of media-marginalized populations become active participants in the creation of narrative and documentary film in order to truly reflect the many voices and visions that make up of the fabric of contemporary American life. With a special focus on at-risk youth, EPFC programs inspire, educate, activate and empower.
