LEARNING ON THE LOG LLC
Mission Statement
Learning on the Log is a non-profit organization serving children ages 3 to 10 of the greater Atlanta area since 2001 by providing inclusive, experiential social skills therapy within sensory-based recreational settings for children with developmental and sensory delays, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, as well as, typically developing children. Our mission is a relentless pursuit of our three core principles: INTERACT - Creating motivation to form relationships; RELATE - Building self-confidence through communication; COMMUNICATE - Expressing emotions within natural interactions. Within a supportive environment using activities that strengthen each child's gross and fine motor skills, we foster children's physical, social and emotional growth and help them adapt better to society, while respecting each one's unique differences. We believe the supported practice and development of meaningful social skills enhances confidence and self-worth leading to success in other relationships as the children learn to express complex emotions in a healthy way.
