ELM MOTT FIRE RESCUE
Mission Statement
The primary mission of the Elm Mott Fire Rescue is to create a safer community through prevention, preparedness, and effective emergency response in the event of the adverse effects of fires, sudden medical emergencies or exposure to dangerous conditions created by either man or nature, within the community. When the fire department was first established in 1955, their response area was 3.11 miles and only had 856 residents. Over time, the fire department's response area has grown to two stations, an area of 36.7 miles and has over 12,000 residents. We also cover 8.7 miles of heavy Interstate Highway 35 traffic. During the past 12 months, we have responded to over 400 calls, including 207 medical calls, 122 fires and trained over 2,000 hours. We also respond to mutual aid requests from the surrounding departments.
