The Division of Student Affairs contributes to the academic mission of the University through quality student-centered programming and services that support the emotional, intellectual, personal, and ethical growth of the individual student. The purpose of Student Affairs is to support the academic, personal, and professional success of all students. To accomplish its mission, the Division of Student Affairs will focus on programs and services to: Support the student in scholarly pursuits and the pursuit of career and personal aspirations Enhance student learning Promote student development Promote a shared sense of community Facilitate the development of life skills Create and maintain a support network that includes partnerships among faculty, administration, and staff Engage students in opportunities for productive citizenship Promote the health and well-being of students Encourage an environment that is tolerant and respectful of individual differences Develop a viable organization that is responsive to the needs of students and proactive in its preparation of students for the future
