COURT APPOINTED SPECIAL ADVOCATES OF SOUTHEAST TEXAS INC
Mission Statement
Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Southeast Texas, Inc. is a non-governmental, non-profit service organization that recruits, trains and supervises a diverse group of community volunteers appointed by the courts to advocate for abused and neglected children in the pursuit of safe, permanent homes. The volunteers act as fact finders and make independent assessments and recommendations to the judge on what can be done to expedite the child's placement from foster care to a safe, permanent home. The volunteer is a stable force in the child's life, visiting the child regularly, and makes a commitment for one year or longer until the case is resolved.
