GOLFERS AGAINST CANCER INC

Golfers Against Cancer is a national 501(c)3 charity founded in 1997 by a group of Houston golfers who lost two close friends to cancer. Motivation to raise money for cancer research led to the first event which included a golf tournament with live and silent auction. Golfers Against Cancer has since raised over $24 million nationwide to fund cancer research. The Denver Chapter was started in 2009 with the mission to assist researchers in advancing their projects to the stage where they can receive federal grants. To date, we have donated over $775,000 to multiple Colorado based research projects and we are proud to announce that these projects have received close to $7 million in additional grant money as a direct result of our donations. In addition, a project we funded in 2010 led to the development of a clinical trial for children with acute myeloid leukemia, which is approved by the National Cancer Institute. Our 2017 goal is to donate over $125,000, which will be used to provide funding for research being conducted at local research facilities in Colorado. Funding for research grants will be raised through corporate sponsorships, individual tickets sales and the live and silent auctions held during the events. In order to make this event a success, we are asking local businesses for their support by donating an item to be used in either our live or silent auction. All donations are tax-deductible and 100% of the proceeds raised go directly towards research grants. Please send our Auction Donation Form along with your donation to the address on the form.
