Mission Statement

Over 35% of Michigan’s Veterans are dying by their own hands. A new, Muskegon based non profit is taking on the fight against Veteran suicide, and aiming to save Veteran lives. Born from the tragedy of losing a loved one to Veteran suicide, Lighthouse For Veterans strives to meet a need found in Muskegon County. As the only nonprofit with a focus solely on Veteran suicide, Lighthouse For Veterans has big plans for Muskegon, as well as the state of Michigan. Lighthouse For Veterans was established to remember those lost to Veteran suicide, as well as their families, while honoring and supporting the Veterans that are still with us; and to also increase awareness and help prevent the tragedy that is Veteran suicide.
