ALABAMA LAW ENFORCEMENT APPRECIATION FOUNDATION

It is the purpose of this Foundation to promote, further and advance the goodwill of the community and law enforcement locally and throughout the State of Alabama. In order to accomplish this statement, the Foundation must accumulate, process and disseminate information relative to law enforcement and community relations with law enforcement. The Foundation must also develop, compile and provide to the public and law enforcement agencies information which will promote a better mutual understanding between both entities. The Foundation will strive provide law enforcement agencies an opportunity for a broader understanding of their relationships with the public through closer fraternization with one another and provide law enforcement agencies opportunities to better work in harmony for the betterment of the community. In the process of developing these close relationships the Foundation will assist in providing goods and services, that would not normally be budgeted in the course of operation or funds that would not be available in the budgets to provide specialized training, safety equipment, communication equipment or any other material item (s) that will protect or provide safety for both Law Enforcement and the community for which they provide protection It is also the Foundation’s mission to commemorate and to memorialize those in law enforcement across the state who have perished in the line of duty and to support the families and community in that process. Through this Mission Statement the Foundation pledges to support emotionally, financially, or through any means available, and to better educate law enforcement and the public to complete a goal of a good and healthy relationship between both, to show love, compassion and appreciation for the service provided to the communities they so tirelessly serve.
