INGLEWOOD LITTLE LEAGUE
Mission Statement
Our organization is a local non-profit in the city of Inglewood. The mission of Inglewood Little League is to assist the youth of our community in developing the qualities of citizenship, discipline, teamwork, and leadership. Sports are among the most significant resources for our youth to learn critical life skills. By advocating the virtues of character, courage, and loyalty, the Inglewood Little League Baseball program is designed to develop superior citizens rather than superior athletes. Our Goals and Guiding Principles consist of: • Each child who wishes to play ball should be entitled to do so regardless of skill, gender, or financial circumstances. • The league personnel, parents, and all participants share the responsibility of making Little League a safe and wholesome activity. • Promote the development of baseball skills. • Promote having fun through sportsmanship, competitiveness and achieving personal goals. • Develop the qualities of citizenship, discipline, character, and teamwork amongst the players. • Create a fun, safe, and competitive environment for the youth of our community to play baseball. • Develop managers, coaches, and umpires that uphold the objectives and guiding principles of the League. • Create long-term community involvement.
