EDUCATED ZEBRA FOUNDATION INC

The purpose of The Educated Zebra Foundation is to enhance the educational experiences for students in disadvantaged communities in Zambia and South Africa through a variety of projects and collaborations. The Educated Zebra is currently sponsoring 22 students in Zambia. Ten students currently attend Kool Kidz, a small independent school, with students ranging in age from 2 years (baby class) to seventh grade in the Highlands of Livingstone. Nine of our students recently graduated from Kool Kidz. All scored in Division I or II on the Zambian National Exam and proceeded to 8th Grade. We continue to sponsor all children through 12th grade at various public and private schools. Our second project involves providing educational toy learning kits that focus on areas of the South African National Early Learning and Development Curriculum. Each Learning Hub provides up to 200 children from impoverished townships an early childhood education. We finished one project in Ysterplaat and are working on another library in Greyton, a township on the Western Cape. Each Learning Library costs $6,000 to build plus teacher training.
