Mission Statement
Liberty Youth Cycling formed as a 501(c)(3) PA State non-profit corporation to support the Delco Revolution MTB interscholastic cycling teams and make the programs more permanent in their communities. Liberty Youth Cycling also allows for more opportunities for riding outside the interscholastic season. Revolution’s adult leadership recognized early on that while many of us are parents on the team, our youth were connecting with other coaches for the mentoring and connections they weren’t experiencing through other activities. Sometimes Revolution was the only sport they participated in. But more often it was the shared love of riding that a connection was made. Beyond Delco Revolution, our youth and adults come together as Delco RPM and Delco Trail Advocates as fully insured 12-month programs. Nearly every weekend youth and Safe Sport certified adults meet to ride on trails throughout Southeastern PA, northern Delaware, or western New Jersey to ride. Beyond just riding bikes, we encourage our teammates, coaches, and families to give back in our communities through regular trail clean up and maintenance days. In 2023 more than 25 youth and adults gave more than 200hours to trails and open space clean up projects in our community. Connections and memories are made while we enjoy time outside, off the couch, doing something we love: spinning our wheels on singletrack or gravel and talking bikes and life.
