BORN SLEEPING FOUNDATION

The Foundation was started as a way to honor the memory of our baby, Wesley, who passed away as a full-term baby in April 2021, due to a true knot in his umbilical cord. Unfortunately, our family joined the other 24,000 families that had a stillborn child in 2021. For all of these families, tragedy is thrust upon them in the most unexpected way. The Foundation was started as a way to raise money to purchase medical devices called CuddleCots, which provide grieving families with the gift of time. A CuddleCot is a cooling bed that helps preserve the body of a stillborn baby for up to two weeks and allows the family time to say their goodbyes.
