Mission Statement
Friends of Sausal Creek (FOSC) is a community-based, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to conserving, restoring, and enhancing the Sausal Creek Watershed in Oakland, California. We engage the Oakland community in dedicated stewardship of Sausal Creek and its surrounding watershed through ongoing restoration work, robust environmental education programs, and increasing access to quality parks and green spaces adjacent to the creek. We strive for an ecologically healthy stream and watershed that supports biodiversity and climate resilience, and offers habitat for native species in the region.
