Mission Statement
The Heart of Stoke Foundation is a reputable 501c3 organization committed to making a positive impact in the lives of underserved children through the provision of no-cost skateboard equipment and mentoring opportunities. Founded on the belief that every child should have access to the opportunities, benefits, and joys of skateboarding, our mission is to eliminate the hurdle of excessive start-up costs associated with the sport so these children can thrive from all the benefits it truly offers. Recent peer reviewed research has shown that skateboarding enhances creativity, teaches goal setting and achievement, introduces critical thinking skills, improves academic performance and attendance, and establishes a community for the 46% of adolescents who don't gravitate towards team sports. All of which which is critical to positive emotional balance in children between 8-18.
