Mission Statement
The Decatur Rotary club has been a staple in Wise County since 1952. We recently formed the 501(c)3 wing knows as the Decatur Rotary Foundation. We are a community based organization that gives back in the following ways: 1. Ramp Project- Building Ramps in Wise County for the disabled 2. Dictionary Project- We go to local schools and give third graders their first dictionary. This is part of our literacy program. 3. Eliminate Polio- We consistently raise funds to eliminate polio 4. Volunteering- We assist other non profits by helping them with their goals, a great example is Meals & Wheel & CASA Our Wise County Spring Event is our largest fundraiser of the year. This is a free family friendly event at the Decatur Conference Center. We have live music, food trucks, a vendor fair, a book drive, a police vs fire fighter tug of war and plenty of activities for the kids. We have a raffle associated with the event to help raise funds.
